Born on the island of Madeira, hundreds of miles south of Portugal in the North Atlantic Ocean.
Long an admirer of the master impressionists such as Bongart, Sorrolla, and Fechin, in his mid-twenties Camacho decided to follow his childhood passion of fine art. Intensive studies with Ovanes Berberian led to the development of a distinct style with abstract brush work.
All of his paintings capture the first impression and light on a given subject. He is currently exhibiting in galleries throughout the United States.
